We Speak English p.1

It should come as no surprise that we are a bit romantic when it comes to cycling equipment, after all we have based the company around a fictional cycling legend from the 70's! As technology continues to push its perfectly manacured face into the cycling scene, we have been spread in the most epic of Jean Claude Van Damme style splits. While one foot is planted soundly on the romantic side-the steel tubes, visceral gear shifts, race worn Brooks saddle side- the other foot is planted on the explorer side- the one that wants to see what is new, likes the thought of a bike well under the UCI weight limit and has an unhealthy addiction to fiber. What if there was a way to merge both of these sides into one? Would it be possible to have the best of both worlds wrapped into one bike, a meticulously crafted, hand-made, modern marvel worthy of the hardest races?! We think the answer is yes and we know just the company to make it.

Enter English Cycles, the company of engineer, builder and racer Rob English. Rob has been turning heads in the cycling scene recently with his purposefully built bikes ranging from Sunday cruisers to full-on, "no way I am staying under zone 4 on this", race bikes. We have been lucky enough to form a relationship between English Cycles and Stoller and the first creation of the relationship is taking shape as speak. The goal of the first bike is to see what is possible, not in terms of an all out race bike, but in terms of a comfortable yet responsive lightweight bike that merges the lines between romance and technology.

Oh, did I mention we are talking about a primarily steel bike here?! This is going to be interesting and we want you along for the ride so stay posted.
